Install Required Python Packages

Download the Pygmalion Repository

Download the latest Pygmalion repository from GitHub. You can clone the repo or download the ZIP file.

Step 1: Install Pygmalion – Navigate to the downloaded Pygmalion folder in your terminal. Then run:

pip install -e .

This will install Pygmalion and its dependencies.

Step 2: Download Models – The base Pygmalion installation does not include any models. You need to download the models separately.

Run this command to download the 6B model:

python scripts/download_models.py --model 6B

Other models like 1.3B, 2.7B are also available.

Step 3: Start the Pygmalion Server

To start the local Pygmalion server, run:

python -m pygmalion.app.server --model {MODEL_NAME}

Replace {MODEL_NAME} with the name of the downloaded model.

This will start the server on localhost. You can now access Pygmalion by visiting http://localhost:7860 in your browser.
